I get gassy and I get soft stool with mucus is that normal

I started taking metamucil powder form 2 days now and I have a lot of bad headaches since, should I discontinue it or see a doctor?

I started the tablet today. I tool 1 tablet with lot of water and it's been 3 hours and I have lot of headache.

I experienced the same problem. I took Metamucil and retired for the night. I was awoken by rapid heartbeat, pressure in chest, and shortness of breath. I was rushed to the emergency rm. and finally admitted to the hospital for three days. I had some heat tissue damage and some leakage. The rapid heartbeat and some chest discomfort remained after a three day stay. One week later I had to have a cardiac cathorization done to seek an answer to my problem. The test didn't reveal any valve damage or issues. I returned home, the same day, but experience another rapid 110 heart beat that night that lasted a few minutes. I know that my heart has permanent damage (arrhythmias) because I took Metamucil. There can be no other answer, because I was healthy before this occurrence. I had just visited my doctor a few months before and all was well as normal. I believe this product to be a health hazard. Legal action should be taken against the makers of this product and it should be banned. Someone needs to listen before more peoples health is put into jeopardy or die.

i've been taking the metamucil with calcium capsules for a little over a week now. 5 a day/once a day with lots of water, like the bottle says to. i've had a lot of painful stomach cramping and have been able to poop more than usual but pooping hasn't been much at all and it's been very soft and on the verge of diarrheal. I've also gotten more gas than usual and last nite AND today, my poop has been black. And the stomach pain has increased. I am not positive the black poop is caused by the metamucil, should I see a doctor? or stop taking the metamucil? or what?... *DONT_KNOW*

My husband took metamucil capsules one night and has had severe stomach cramping and gas for 3 days so far.  He also has not extricated yet.

I had loer stomache discomfort, pain and urinary problems.

Have been taking it for 5 days now. I have the worst flatulence I could have ever imagined.

I took my first, and last dose of Metamucil. I'm on a soft diet, but since my colonoscopy, where diverticulosis was found, my doctor recommended Metamucil. I took the dose last evening, about 14 hours ago, and now have cramping and pain in my lower abdomen. 

After about two weeks of using Metamucil I began to experience severe stomach cramps and bloating. I no longer take Metamucil. How long does it take for the cramps to go away?

after prolonged use my mother had kidney failier.DR did not want to point a finger but 1 took me aside and said Please do something I cannot.Do not use Metamucil orginal texure for a prolonged period.she used it for a long time and now theres no mother.

I recently tried Metamucil and it caused severe abdominal pain, severe nausea and vomiting. Needless to say, I won't be using it again. I've got IBS and I thought that it might help, but, it sure didn't. A friend of mine has IBS and has been taking this for a while and it has helped him. But, I have a sensitivity to many things...I get to put this one on the list, unfortunately.

My wife and I both experienced severe abdominal pain.   This is the first time I have experienced it with this product.   I will NEVER use it again.

If someone is having heart surgery can he use Metamucil?

Can Metamucil cause your stools to float a little bit?
