  • I just cannot sleep, I go…

I just cannot sleep, I go to bed weary, but my mind is saying to me, you are not sleepy.  What do I do?

  • You should NOT lie down for…

You should NOT lie down for at least 4 hours after taking this medication.  It raises your supine blood pressure.

  • I just began this medication…

I just began this medication today for extreme fatigue.  I feel really odd, out of sorts, tingling scalp and a nervous stomach.  I hear a slight ringing in my ears.  I took it this morning and  just within the last couple of hours began feeling these things.... I hope these things get better but Im scared to lie down.  From the posts I read, seems that this will be a helpful medication but I just feel wierd right now!

  • it's been fantastic for me…

it's been fantastic for me and has allowed me for the past 4 years to continue normally with my life and be like any other young person. My chills are very bad when i take them but normally subside after an hour or so and are worth experiencing for the plus it has n my blood pressure. i do have a lot of urinary problems too but still think I couldn't be without it.

  • I agree with the poster below.…

I agree with the poster below.  I just read that the FDA was trying to withdraw it and I am so relieved that they did not.  It has been amazing.  I am so grateful that my Dr. prescribed it as I never knew any options were out there for the blackouts, lightheadedness and extreme fatigue I used to experience.  I can feel the improvement about 20 minutes after I take my dose, and I can go on with my day instead of falling asleep on the couch.  Low blood pressure is really never thought of by anyone, until you live through it!  Only effect I ever feel is a tingly scalp, sometimes my arms too.  Maybe a couple headaches when I have not hydrated well that day.  I LOVE Midodrine.

  • Midodrine has been a wonder…

Midodrine has been a wonder drug for me.  I have been on it for fourteen years.  I titrated up slowly to 35 mg. a day.  I take small amounts every two hours.  It has allowed me to be an active inividual.  I was able to raise my children and take care of my house and husband.  Without the midodrine I would  have spent most of the last fourteen years in a horizontal position.  Thank God for it.
