hot sweats panic attacks

My doctor prescribed norethisterone (PRIMOLUT) to take one tablet daily from day 18 to day 26 of my next cycle. I have a uterine linning build up problem that causes very heavy long periods with blood clots. This is a test trying to shrinkk it. Hope it will work.

I too have been the same, horrid things, when is this bleeding likely to stop?

my eperience of norethisterone is not good ive had dizzy spells very bloaded tummy sever night sweats very lose stools everytime i eat anything have spoken to my dr he is saying just continue taking them without break :( i saw ur site others thoughts sympathys with them fully

This might sound a little mad but I have been taking this pill since I was 16 as a form of contraception and I have noticed that I have more facial hair than most women my age. I can't help but wonder if it has anything to do with this or if it is just bad genes. I'm 20 now and as you can probably imagine, it is really embarrassing.

hi my question is that... i took norethisterone pill for 4 days twice daily. i took this as i wanted to delay my mensus as my husband was coming and i used it as a contraceptive too. but after two days i did not get my periods properly 1st day i just had spotting and 2nd day too. m scared of getting pregnant. are there any chances of me getting pregnant? please suggest.

I felt exactly the same Lynn. I only feel better now after 3 days of stopping the tablets. I would rather have a period. I didn't find the side-effects nice at all. I had chest pains, felt sick, diarrhea, tiredness and dizziness. I also experiences sharp pains in my womb area and on one occasion a pain in my upper leg area. I will never take Norethisterone again and do not recommend it, however what doesn't work for one person might work for another. I'm feeling a lot better after stopping the hormone tablets and feel a lot happier too.

Waiting to see what treatment i can get for a fibroid and have been having insanely heavy periods in the mean time. 
Doctor gave me these pills to lessen the effects. As soon as I stopped taking them I am experiencing the heaviest, most painful period of my life (I'm 34). 
I never get PMS but have been crying almost constantly for the last two days! Will not be taking these again.

I have been taking Norethisterone for 21 days and taking a break for 7days i am at my GP's first thing to change my prescription.
side effects mood swings, depression every day has felt like i am suffering my worst pms  , I wake approx every 3 hour ringing wet, i feel constantly bloated. and my sex drive has reduced to zero.
To top it all i have just started bleeding this is in my top 3 worst painful heavy periods ever.
I started taking Norethisterone because i had been bleeding for 106 days following a miscarriage. dose prescribed 15mg a day

I was prescribed Norethisterone in August 2007 to help resolve my constant periods (every two weeks). I ceased taking the tabs (5mg dose x 2 a day) within a few weeks as I would wake up continually in the night scratching my head, which suddenly had become extremely itchy (thought I had nits but didn't) but more concerning was the constant waking up with shooting pain in my one leg - linked it to the tablets and phoned my Dr who said I should cease taking them immediately.

Since taking Norethisterone ,i have had a dry mouth,urinated more and had severe heatburn,chest pains and diarrhea .Plus felt very tired.
