Norvasc

I have had severe swelling in my knuckles while on this medication - dr. says it's not the meds but it came on so suddenly. I am 50 and have the swolen knuckles of a 70 yr. old not to mention shoulder and hip pain. After 2 years, I've lost enough weight to quit this med. I hope the damage is not permanent

has anyone ever experienced. joint pain with this medication, fingers knuckes wrist, elbows knees, feet... ect...

I have been taking norvasc 5mg for almost 5 years, I am a 73 old woman and have extreme side effects. Dr. makes me take them since the blood pressure was 230/90. I also take avapro and acebutelol. I have chronic kidney disease, liver disease, very high cholesterol, cannot take statins. Developed painful, knotty,swollen fingers and cartage loss and severe torn miniscus tears in the knees. Also cartage loss in back 4 painful bulging discs.,plus all the other side effect like elevated cholesterol headache, fluid retention in ankles and legs dizziness, flushing, no sleep etc. etc. The Kidney Specialist put me on them, he knows all my problems and says: Take them or suffer the consequences, maybe this would be easier and faster. I need help!

Encouraging blood pressure concerned patients to check out the efficacy and safety of any prescription drug adverse side effects prior to filling the prescription. A prescription for Norvasc 10mh Tablet : 30 Tablets refills:2 ... after checking this out I have made an informed decision based on the facts :: my BP at the doctor appt. was 160 over 80 ... and, my taking OMRON BP monitor average reading is 136.25 over 68 which is within normal range for me at the young age of 73 and weighing 165 lbs. There are also other alternative choices that we can choose to help with BP that is out of wack .. like Natural Factors Blood Pressure Relief which could be a lot safer choice for using. The adverse side effects are high in risk to the benefits of this safer method of trying alternative supplements.

Hope this note of encouragement helps some person that is suffering needlessly to say NO when you have any doubt with a drug that is prescribed at least give some thought and exercise your right to your own good health to protect it from the invasiveness of these toxic prescription drugs that are a gold mine to the pharmaceutical industry ... all the best to you in your freedom of healthy choices for the best life that you deserve. Norvasc 10 mg Tablets 1 Tablet(s) Once daiy for 30 Days with 2 repeats was prescribed for me on a blood pressure reading of 160 over 80 in the doctor's office for BP check. My BP readings on an average with home OMRON BP monitor averages 136.25 over 68... after coming home to check out the efficacy and safety of this Norvasc 10 mg Tablet procedure and seeing the adverse side effects I have elected not to take even one of these Norvasc BP tablets and therefore, have decided not to have this prescription filled. Everyone out there we do have our choices when our doctors prescribe us a pill, there's always alternative therapies also to take into consideration Blood Pressure Relief

burning sensations neck, upper torso and arms

norvasc gave me lichen planus.my face would breakout.serve pain in my back on my left side,my neck,feet,shoulder hand my legs would swell.my body would itch,my skin would peal sometimes i could not swallow,wheezing,coughing chestpains,ringing in my ears.i had a bad time taking norvasc.

I have continous vivid dreams, waking up feeling extremely tired and unrested. I have been on Norvasc 5 mg for probably over 15 years. When I mentioned it to the doctor who originally prescribed it, he put me on Prozac to slow down the dreams. They did continue, but did slow down for the most part. I have recently been working on getting myself healthier. After realizing how many meds I have been on (6 different meds) and all of their side effects, it began to concern me. I took myself off of the Prozac, probably too drastically, and my dreams and nightmares are continously. It really scares me that one med can cause these. It may not seem like much, but let me tell you, I do not like waking up all stressed and tired. Funny thing, if I remember correctly, my granny took only 1 or 2 meds and she lived to be 89 years old. I am to the point I may slowly pull myself off of Norvasc while upping my exercising. I hate this tired feeling. Oh, yes....and I was diagnosed with sleep apnea.......think my quality of sleep could be from all of the dreaming and tossing and turning that I have been doing???

swelling of face and tongue. told zimay have a sinus problem. Have know faith in my dental doctor.

 Put on 2.5 mg of norvasc 25 mg. of tenormin.  Having selling in face Idon<t know if it is reaction of the norvasc or my tet or sinus problem.

I have severe upper back pain

I'm on norvasc 5mg daily in morning for many years for my hypertension and i also take altelenol 50 mg at night. 3 days ago my blood pressure went up to 170/100 cos i was awoken up with severe abdominal pain. i took an extra 5 mg. my question is that if it's safe to take another 5 mg of norvasc to help me bring down the blood pressure. 

my side effect, having strange dreams, i could'nt wait to go to bed and dream, everything seem so real but the strange part about it every one was dead, and it was as if i was there with them, i seen old friends that had died years ago. This was really strange cause i could remember every detail of the dreams. and as for as my blood presure it went down, but i had a hard time breathing,and my legs hurted something bad,maybe because of all the actitivies i was doing in my dreams i would be so tiered, o yea! it increase your sex drive. :-D :-D
