Paroxetine

Hi Barbie, My sister has fibromyalgia and uses Magnesium plus malic acid for the pain. She also takes guaifenisen capsules and her fibro is managed much better. Maybe this will help.

Taking 40mg lparoxetine for more than 3 years. Still taking. Problems with temperature. Always cold, sleep in several layers of nylon clothing. Shaking can't get warm for days on end. Lots of respitory infections which don't clear with antibiotics. Severe sleeping problems, even sleeping pills don't work. Very frequent headacess. Also frequent periods of muscle weakness, severe at times. Also needing food often, lots of sugar, honey and coffee to funtion. Depression worsening at times, sucicidal thoughts often.

sever headache and sever fatiue

I just started taking it yesterday, I took 20mg. before I went to bed.  I woke up with a touchy tummy this morning.  KInd of nausated.  Will take anoghte one tonight.  I havae fibro, was taking trazone to help me sleep, but was too sleepy.  If you havae any recommendaations?  Please recommend?  TY  Barbie

left work because I was in great pain. Had a previous year of many truamas. Dr. Diagnosed fibromyalgia and ignored the previous traumas. Put me on Paroxetine at a low dose. While on this low dose I could not function very well and was unable to stop my husband from investing a lot of money in a scheme I could not do, pain levels were still very high. 5 months after starting drug Dr. doubled the dose. The first week the pain levels went down. After that I started having funny symptoms. Rectal bleeding, nasal infection, irritation in eye, couldn't think, started shaking, wanted alchohol (I don't drink), wanted coffee one cup after another (I usually only have one a day), was ready to sell home and buy a motor home and travel all over canada even in winter (grand delusion as I was physically unable to do this), pain levels went way up. started having sweats. Irritation on scalp became unbearable, developed a rash in one ear, developed hives around anus and scalp and inside my nose. It was when I downed half a water glass of straight rum and was ready to pour more that I knew somethin was very wrong.
Contacted the pharmacist who told me not to stop taking this drug.
Talked to my Dr. who said there was nothing wrong with taking this drug and it was all my mood. I was to continue taking this drug.
I spent 1 week-2 weeks weaning myself of this drug. The headachs were severe (level 9 out of 10)and lasted 2 weeks before they started to subside. I also started to notice that I was thinking a little more clearly. I still have fibromyalgia and am still struggling with brainfog but it is not nearly as severe.
Saw a psychiatrist and told him about this and he was emphatic that Paroxatine did not have these symptoms.
