  • Stopping Pentox for a short…

Stopping Pentox for a short time did not change the burning feet and a doctor told me that he did not believe that it was a side effect of medications. I believe it might be tendonitis in my feet from breaking in new athletic shoes. Not sure really. The Pentox has been relatively well tolerated and has virtually eliminated my chronic constipation and hard stools, something for which it was not prescribed. I can not tell after 12 weeks of use that it has helped the healing process of my Peyronie's plaque and can't know if it has prevented it from becoming worse. I plan to continue with Pentox.

  • I was put on Pentoxifylline…

I was put on Pentoxifylline ER 400MG 3x daily along with L-Arginine 500MG 2x daily for Peyronie's Disease by my Urologist 3 months ago. I noticed some good effects in correcting my chronic constipation and hard stools almost immediately. I can not tell if it has helped with the Peyronie's because I don't know how the condition would have progressed had I not started Pentox almost immediately. Most of the inflammation pain subsided soon after starting Pentox.

I did begin having burning sensations in the heels of my feet especially when they were raised when I was reclining. This discomfort seems to be noticed more late in the evening more than early in the day. I do not wake up with this burning heels and don't notice it usually while standing and walking. Lately, this sensation seems to involve more of the bottom of each foot. I stopped Pentox and L-Arginine for one day and it seemed to improve but I do not want to stop taking the medication if it is beneficial in preventing the Peyronie's from getting worse. I have read about side effects of Pentox but not any described these I am having and I am not sure that either Pentox or L-Arginine is causing them. It may be a coincidence that this started after starting these products. Taking an NSAID doesn't seem to help with this burning sensation but thankfully it doesn't last long or wake me up at night. Soaking my feet in cold water does make the burning go away as long as my feet are in the water. Any thoughts?
