Pevaryl

If they offer you Whitfields Ointment i'd advise not using it. It made my skin sting so much it went red and i could feel the heat coming off it just holding my hand a few cms away from the skin surface. It was the first product i used for a similar problem.. (My dots were brown and turn white when i get sunburnt) and i came off it and started using Pevaryl... thankfully it's worked for me... So if Pevaryl upsets your skin more whatever you do don't use Whitfields Ointment.

Have used Pevaryl for over 10 years at least twice a year. Whilst what i use it for isn't permanently curable i have never experienced any side effects and by the time i'm using the third application the rash that is usually covering majority of my back has disappeared and doesn't return for another 6-12 months.

I applied it yesterday after my shower as per instructions and woke up around 3am itching so badly that I was going to pull my skin off. My body was full of red dotted spots and was mainly over my chest.The worst rash ever. I intitally was adviced to use it because I had white patches on my skin. Now I have both red and white patches. I am definetly allergic to something in pevaryl but don't know what. I have been advised to stop using it and start with anti-hestamine. :-(
