    iam28 YRS OLD newly diaBetic patient just one monthapril 16. random blood sugar is 380 mg/dl.iconsult the doctor they precribed glimipride 2mg,pioglitazone15mg,metformin 500mg. voglibose0.2mgand know my fpg is 87mg/dl.ppg is 115mg /dl.and they reduced to glimepride 1mg,pioglitazone15 mg metformin 500mg they RX.ANY DIFFICULT TO USE THIS MEDICINE PLEASE CONCLIUDE.

    after just 7 days of starting pioglitazone(15 mg.daily) ,I developed loss of taste for mainly sugar and salt,but unfortunatyely i couldnot guess pioglitazone as possible cause. I am type 2 diabetic and hypertensive and taking metformin,glimeperide,lisinopril and s-amlodipine for last five years. Now  have stopped pioglitazone but i think recovery is very slow. there is definite decrease in no. of taste buds in tongue but without any pain or burning or ulcers in tongue.
