Pregabalin

This drug has left me with  a permanent cognotive impairment . I have not had a dose for over 5 months and still feel like i am still takeing it . I used to be able to read my maths book the night before an exam and blitz it the following day ,but this drug has put an end to that. I do not know why the specialist thought it was safe to increase the dose to 300mg per day ,75mg x 4 for a 17 year old boy.This drug has also  given me  an anxiety disorder. 

My mother in law is 60 years of age and is suffering from diabetic nephropathy. She is undegoing dialysis and has severe cramps in legs which is very painful. She is having sleepless nights. She was adviced a single dose of pregabalin 75 mg per day. She has so far taken 1 and 1/2 tablets and has severe dryness in the mouth, breathing difficulty, severe dizziness. Doctor had warned us of the side effects.

Addendum to above: Treated with Pregabalin for RSD/CRPS 1 after anterior cervical disc replacement at C6/7- am patient- 36 yr old female- 125 pounds.
Also taking OxyContin 10 mg BID (a life saving med) and Xanax for panic due to uncontrollable pain and tremors on left axial skeleton.
Have since developed rheumatoid arthritis and now taking Vit. D 50L iu/week and Plaquenil, 200mg BID

Hallucinations, inability to speak for 18 hours- trip tp ER- IV diazepam- severe swelling of face, pain EVERYWHERE, horrific dreams for weeks after one dose.
