need to know if prisiq is a good weight lost med or a bad one plz tell me plz

i just want to know has anyone out of all experionst weight lost or gain on pristiq if so how much weight lose or gain plz tell mee thanks alot

Try SAMe at 400 mg early in the morning on an empty stomach with no food for an hour.
It helped me get of Pristiq.

I was prescribed Pristiq for chronic depression, as I take tramadol for R/Arthritis I stopped taking tramodol, as my pains got worse I started taking tramadol l a day amazing enough I found taking both seem to improve the depression considerably so will be discussing this with my GP

Hello...has anyone been on oristiq while pregant? Has anyone taken it there whole pregnacy and not had any issues with the baby. I was on 50mg and weaned myself to 12mg but I cant go intirely off it the side effects are unfuncatioable and possible just as or worse harmful to the baby then taking it....I have tried to reseach on-line for some comfort but just trying to resure myself that the baby is gonna be just fine thru it all.......

I have been taking pristiq for 2 weeks.  I feel dizzy, nervous, anxious, and I don't want to do anything or be around anyone right now.  I was taking cymbalta for years and felt like it wasn't working any longer, so I asked my doctor if I could try pristiq.  When I was taking cymbalta I felt depressed but I kept trying to get better.  I would go swimming , see my parents, etc...
Right now I feel like I'm on nothing at all because the cymbalta is out of my system and the pristiq isn't working yet.  I am waiting on the Lord, I know I will get better. I just pray that these side effects go away and the pristiq starts working.
Is anyone else having any problems wiith pristiq?

I've been on Pristiq for about one year.  My Dr also prescribed Wellbrutin.  We are nw trying to wean off of the Pristiq.  I've gone from 100 mg down to 50 mg slowly over one month.  I can't seem to cut down any lower without going through withdrawal.  Any suggestions?

Prior to taking Pristiq i was up a couple of times in the night. Now it is 4-5 times Iam 64 and my dosage is 10mg Pristiq

I am a 42 year old female who was started on 50 mg. once a day Pristiq for depression. It has been 4 days and I have lower abdominal pain everyday all day and night. I have been taking Tylenol for the pain around the clock. I also can't sleep much. I wake up everyday at 2am. I will see if these symptoms go away but I don't know if I can tolerate the pain. I sweat alot too, but that I can deal with

I took wellbutrin two yrs ago and developed symptome of GERD, inability to swallow comfortably, abdominal pain.  Took thousands of dollars of tests and was told it was not the medication, it was merely a coincidence.  Fast forward to last month when I began taking a similar med - Pristiq.  It took three weeks but the swallowing problem, throat clearing and stomach pain have all returned.  Saw my psychiatrist and moved back to Effexor.  It's sad we did not know about this before all that I had to deal with.
