Propofol

I am 53 years old and had my 7th colonoscopy two days ago. I was absolutely fine when I went in for it. I woke up and could not stop sneezing. I felt like I had the worst head cold in my entire life {no, I am not a drama queen}.

I have 8 children living at home {6 adopted from all over the world} and no one else has a cold whatsoever. Since I am still experiencing all these symptoms I decided to look on the internet to see if others had had this experience. I guess I am not alone, but wondering what the heck is going on? Will this end? I will be calling the physician in the am.

I had a endoscopy twice, and both times I had the same side effects that the Dr never heard of.
First, the top of my head, skalp & hair,hurted badly for serveral days.
and in the first and second night I woke up at night feeling so bad ( low blood pressure?) that I could not lay down anymore and felt like I needed to go to the hospital.

Now I supposed to have a colonoscopy and the Dr wants to use the propofol again.

Anyone that had the same problems?

Immediately after waking up from colonoscopy...I too started sneezing and my nose was running. I however felt great and alert, energetic- went to lunch with grand-kids right after. I had to use lots of Kleenex. I have 0 allergies but I guess Propofol does this. The running nose lasted over 24 hours but really no biggie. I would definitely have them use that again for another procedure but will take an antihistamine when I got home. Even after the next day it is hard to believe I had that procedure done -it was like a blink of the eye.

My step-mother had knee surgery two years ago and they used propofol during her surgery. She had NO lung function issues before surgery. As of the surgery, she has had to have constant oxygen and it is making her so angry. She wants to find out WHY she now has decreased lung capacity when she was perfectly fine before the surgery. Has anyone here had a similar experience or know of someone who has? She is thinking of obtaining an attorney. In all fairness, she was 79 when she had the surgery, but her health, in general, was good.

I had a colonoscopy today where Propofol was used.  As soon as I got home, the runny nose started along with the sneezing.  I called the doctor, but he's never heard of this happening. I'm finding it all over the internet that there are some people who have this reaction for several days afterwards.  

About an hour after getting home from the hospital, I started with the sneezing fits.  Lasted the rest of the day and all night an into the next morning.   Felt like I had a very bad allergy attack or headcold.
