Rabeprazole

I have been taking Rabeprazole since I was diagonized with Acid reflex about 9 months ago.For the first few months I took one pill every 48hrs. and recenly one pill every 24hrs. I noticed something I never noticed before on my last refill Severe headache, very hard dry cough, pain below my left rib cage, toothache, bitter taste in my mouth and neck pain. I am not taking any medication.
My doctor suggested I should try to control with out drug but thought this drug was the safest if I decided to take it. I wish I listened to my doctor, but the pain was not sometghing I could handle at the time. I am stopping taking Rabeprazole. Several tests came back as all my organs are fine. Endoscopy procedure is few months  away.
Can someone suggest in the meantime how to treat my acid reflux?

Rabreprazole was killing me off. Lost an incredible amount of weight, I was virtually dying, couldn't eat, suffering terrible pain. I looked like an old woman. Also have a hernia. It seemed this product was inducing problems which I didn't have before. Resulted in a very bad case of oesophagitus-swelling and blistered/ulcered throat and tongue. Coughing up blood. Possibly allergic to the product-but didn't help me. Took 1 year to improve after stopping the treatment. I thought it was helping me at first - but it wasn't. Was the worst time of my life. Still suffering but needing surgery, no drug works for me. Been on these pump inhibitors far too long. Side effects are very bad.

Having bloating and gas for 2 weeks now.  Stool went yellow and runny to white and constipated in the same day.
