Just started Rifinah after…
Just started Rifinah after 3 months of being on Rifater, Ethambutol, Pyridoxine and Predisolone steroid. I have had a whole host of side effects. Depression, Irritability, Psoriasis, Moon face, water retention, anxiety, insomnia. Now a new one has occurred short term memory loss and I have read up on further side effects that include psychotic disorder which may be a possibility in my case.
I will have to be on these pills for a further 9 months which doesn't sound appealing at all. I have spinal TB in other words POTT'S Disease. It's not contagious but my back pains were very bad for the first couple of months. Now I am virtually pain free physically but mentally fragile with all the symptoms of Rifinah. -

Im on my last two mounths…
Im on my last two mounths of Rinfinah and cant wait to finish. Ive developed aches and pains all over my body from my rib cage to my muscles in my neck and shoulders.Im on Rifinah x 2 tabs for another two mounthsbut take in a different preparation which helped a little. The rinfina exacerbated my athsma as the inhalers were less effective. However on the whole I'm coping but will have to put up with whatever I feel as I beleave killing this bacterium is paramont. Yes I do feel drained, tired when I stop moving and sleep like a log. Hope this helps a bit.

the spots i never had, but…
the spots i never had, but later maby i will. but i dont think it caused by the medication. the pain you get in your shoulders are maby due to the meds because i had the same symtoms sometimes i couldnt get to sleep because of the pain in my back and neck, so i took paracetamols to numb the pain. Just finish the treatment thats the main thing you have to do, but if your symtoms persits of gets worse consult a professional docter in tb because in my experience general docters aint got a clue what to do when tb is concerned they just know the basics but the profesional tb docters know everything about it, good look to both of us and hope we get through this.

i was diagnosed with bovine…
i was diagnosed with bovine tb about 2 months ago, i have been on rifater, pyrazimanide, ethanbol, for 2 months, it has been 2 months today and now i am on rifinah for the rest of my treatment period. During the first 2 months i felt some symtoms for example joint pains especially in knees, neck and back pain, tiredness, and wierd chest feeling. Tb medication is more serious than people think it literaly drains you out physicaly and mentality, i just want to be normal again and get through this phase, any advice of how to get through this horrible diesese? thanks for reading.

34 yrs. old "Ectopic…
34 yrs. old "Ectopic Pregnancy"
Im a 34 yrs. old Female. I was operated in my "Thyroid" when I was 14 yrs. old it's was a hereditary in my family and Im taking "Levothyrox 125mg. one pill per day after being operated. At 34, I was diagnosed of "TB" and I was prescribed to take Rifinah 300 / 150 mg. for 6 months starting March until September 2009. After my Rifinah medication, I had an x-ray test and the result is ok. I've informed my Pulmonary Doctor that I have plan to have a baby, he told me that it's better to cure my "TB" so, there will be no problem when i get pregnant. November 3, 2009 I started taking FEMIBION as prescribed by my Gynecologist because I've been trying to get pregnant for almost a year for a second baby. My 1st child is already 4 1/2 yrs. old My Gynecologist is aware that I took a medication of Rifinah for 6 months. And last Jan. 14, 2010 I was rushed in the hospital and the doctor have found out that Im having an "Ectopic Pregnancy" I immediately under go "Laparoscopic" operation and they cut off the right side of my Fallopian tube because it was already ruptured. I asked my Gynecologist, what was the cause why did i have an Ectopic Pregnancy? I dont smoke or even drink alcohols? I never use any contraceptives in my life. I dont have any problem during my first pregnancy and I had a normal delivery. My Gynecologist cant find the reasons why I had an Ectopic Pregnancy? because I had a regular check-up with him to be sure that everything will be ok. I hope someone can help me what might be the cause of having an Ectopic Pregnancy? was it my Rifinah medications? Please help... Thank you.
