Roacutan

Hi everybody,

I took roacutan (30 mg) every day for 9 months. I had almost no side effects, except that I felt my body, in a general way, drier, but nothing that caused me any trouble. I just had to keep it hydrated, using lip balm and other kind of moisture for my body. I did blood exams the whole period to make sure that everything was ok, and there was no change in any of the results.

I'm really sorry that the treatment didn't work for some people as related here, but my experience was a big success! My skin today is really good, no more acne, and I always suggest my friends with skin's problem to ask their docs for this medicine. However my treatment was ok, I tell them about the side effects that may occur.

It is really difficult to suggest something because we're all different, so ask your doc for some advise, but I think that you will only know if you try.

Above all do not want to scare or anything like that, but this is my story, and perhaps others will serve to decide whether or not to take the medicine.

My name is David I have 28 years, I'm from Madrid, and I also was taking Dercutane (Isotretinoin) for almost 9 months, a total of 10gram take that for my weight, 65Kilos is the maximum recommended dose can be given.

I had a mild nodular acne that is I got a few pimples but internal and took too long to leave, so the dermatologist decided to give me these miracle pills.

During the treatment, I had the typical side effects, like all people who take it, nothing alarming. But now, after almost a year after completing the treatment when I am suffering more: I have permament dry eyes, back and joint pains continued, headaches, generalized dryness throughout the body, nose bleeds, constipation, anxiety produced through all this trouble sleeping ..

My quality of life has been reduced by 70%, since I can not do almost anything he did before, I can not even bend over without pain in my back and knees.

My life has become a specialist come and go, orthopedic surgeons, ophthalmologists, rheumatologists, neurologists ... and none of them give me solution to my problems.

I had a cousein (non smoker) that died from thumys cancer after using roacutan for several years. I can't confirm that the cancer was acutally caused by the drug, but it's the only clue we have at the moment.

She was 27 years old at the time and it's very unusual to get cancer at that age.

i have serious pain in specially one handwrist,still i,5 month after i stopped take roa .. and also i have pains in my back/shoulders and my lips just wont heal  from cracks and infections.... do i have to mention why i stopped..!??

ok so, i just woke up, and my eye is swollen like if I had beign punched, but I hanven't. It's also I think with a little bit of conjuntivitis, what is this from?

I felt depressed, and my nose would start bleeding just because.
