Rocephin

I have the same issue with the GI tract after getting the Rocephin injection to my deltoid. It gets worse if I eat a full meal than a little meal. With a full or maybe a little more than full, I feel abdominal pain, a bit of nausea and vomitting. But standing up and down, walking and running help relief all of these side effects a lot. Today is day 6th after the injection.

I just had a Rocephin injection and I experienced the exact same side effects as you. I was researching online to see if anyone else has ever experienced this. Immediately following the injection I had severe pain in my right leg. By the time I got home, I could barely walk on that leg. Then both of my legs began to severely ache from my hips to my feet. I wasn't even able to sit or apply any pressure to my right leg.

I received my first and ONLY dose of Rocephin IV for a persistant bladder infection. I had an immediate physical reaction by the time the push IV injection was about half completed. Immediate violent nausea and vomiting, tremors, rapid racing pulse, and flushing. Zofrin was given IV immediately upon stopping the injection and relief was experienced in about 45 seconds. I felt like I was dying. NEVER ROCEPHIN, NEVER AGAIN.

I was taking Rocephin by IV due to infection after surgery.  I had been on it for about 3 1/2 weeks when I started having bad leg pains, from hip to feet.  The pain was like leg cramps.  This pain kept me up all night long.  Could hardly walk due to the pain and hard to sit still.  Upon informing doctor, he stated that this was not a reaction but this is all I am taking to cause this.  Has anyone else had this problem?

I had to get my gallbladd out due to taking rocephin. 

Have you received any response from anyone regarding your son's reaction to rocephin?  And, how is he now?

Rocephin injection was giving to my 3 year old son and now he is sleeping alot and wakes he is crying and is confused and scared. I don't know if he's in pain. Is this something i should be worried about?

I have had horrible stomach problems since taking Rocephin. BLOATING was off the charts. PAIN, and irritable bowel and diverticulitis was set off to a huge degree. The bloating is somewhat bettr, but I'm homebound with stomach pain and gas and irritable bowel. It's the worst I've ever had and am actually afraid it may have done something else more serious. I'm struggling to get back on my feet after taking it for a kidney stone - possible infection. I'll never take it again. :(
