    I was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy two years ago.  I was put on Rhythmodan 3X daily.  I have just undergone angioplasty and 5 stents installed in the arteries of my heart.  Now I read a side effect of Rhythmodan can have "disseminated intravascular coagulation".  1-1/2 years ago I had a Nuclear test which showed NO artery blockages!  I am now questioning if the Rhythmodan has been responsable for this complication.

    Have superventricular tachicardia for four years.  Had an unsuccessful cardio ablation 11/08. Have tried numerous beta blockers (contraindicated as am asthmatic) numerous Calcium Chanel Blockers and amidarone.  The only drug I get relief from is Verapamil and Dr wants to change me to rythmodan as he feels I will benefit more from it with less vasovagal symptoms.  I had bad reaction to amiderone and had tachicardia with presynope and am terrified of trying rythmodan in case I get same reaction?
