    3 yrs ago my son (He's 4 1/2 now) was diagnosed with Hypopituitarism, and Septo Optic Dysplasia. Shortly after we found out he was growth hormone deficient, he was prescribed Saizen. We were told it wasn't urgent to start him on it, but after his blood sugars dropped way below 2 one morning, we had no choice but to start his injections. It was to be taken 6 days a week, leaving 1 day off, but after being hospitalized a few different times for being lethargic with extremely low blood sugars, they decided to put him on 7 days a week no days off. 2 monthes of taking it, he became irritable, constipated, didn't want to eat anything, had over the top tantrums, and now after taking it for a year, we were told he has swollen eye discs. It's a very serious matter, and now he's been scheduled for an emergency ultrasound/MRI. Before he started taking Saizen, he was so happy, had regular bowel movements, would eat most things we gave him. He was just super small and chubby like a baby.
