    I was on a cruise with a friend (66 years old) on a large cruise ship.  We both used scopolamine patches.  After a few days, my friend became confused, i.e., didn't know we were on a cruise, and he hallucinated, i.e., looking out our window to the sea he saw a city, a truck, lots of flags on the water, and was mystified that I could not see them too.  I was extremely alarmed, contacted the ship nurse who asked immediately if he had a scopolamine patch on and then suggested he remove it.  He did, and in a few hours he was back to normal.
