Sifrol

Hi Peter I was taking Sifrol last year I felt like I was going to choke all the time from coughing. So much flem in my throat from taking Sifrol. I had DBS last November in Brisbane but now they want me to try the drug again. NO WAY WILL I TAKE IT. I am on Sinemet now 100/25 4 times a day.

I have been taking Sifrol for 6 months now for RLS. I certainly have noticed increased tiredness but the primary side effect has been weight gain - 5 kgs with no change in diet or lifestyle. Hope this doesn't continue - I'll explode!

I guess I'm lucky, I take sifrol 0,18 mg for RLS. So instead of walking around every night I can sleep. but watch out for cheaper versions of sifrol, they don't work nearly as well on me.

Well I am not sure if it is Sifrol doing these things but my mother has stage3-4 parkinson's and seems to be having more obsessive behaviours, agitation, panic attacks and freezing epsiodes - she takes levodopa of course but Some small does of Sifrol and Comtan.  Lorazepam prn for anxiety.  The behaviours are getting unmanageable.  Please help

now taking 3mg sifrol in morning but feeling very tired and dizzy would i be better taking it at night

Have developed shortness of breath and a distressing dry unproductive cough which can last up to a minute since being on Sifrol. Never had asthma or other breathing problems before. Was using 4.5mg Sifrol ER. Am reducing to try and get off this stuff. Down to 1.5 mg per day but cough persists  although a bit less frequent. My Neurologist seems in the dark about this side effect. Anyone else had similar problems?

Just started with Sifrol 0,18 one per day...and first side effect was ...nose bliding and nausea...

i,am taking sifrol for RSL it works it has taken 70% of the pain away but now i have to deal with the side effect ,lack of sleep ,constipation and weight gain

I have been on sifrol for 2 years now and have my appointment with specialist today-since being on sifrol i have gained 10 kilos,have a strong urge to go to casino and it has now started making me feel sick when i have taken it-hopefully he will have something else i can take-legs still drive me mad untill tablet has kicked in!

My father takes Sifrol, 3 times daily. It seems to suck the life out of him. After lunch time and for the rest of the day, he is in a state where his ability to use logic is almost impossible and his speech is significantly effected.

Yes Aged 59. After using Sifrol I now have an issue with weight control.

cant sleep unless im doped out on sifrol at nite (2 tables). i must take them the same time every nite at 8pm or my life is hell. cant have a atfernoon nap at all. big sex drive,

started off great after a couple of years my weight has incresed, never sleep, no sex drive

 AFTER 12 MTHS NOT DEALING WELL WITH EMOTIONAL ISSUES , TAKING OFFENSIVE AT BEING TOLD WHAT I HAVE TO DO ,  UNABLE TO STOP GAMBLING UNTIL WALLET EMPTY .

I found it helped with restless legs and PLM initially, but after taking it for a year or so, it is no longer effective

Over spending $18,000 in one week on a high then feeling so low that everyone would be better off without me.

Sifrol has been great to my mother but unfortunately it has also so many negative bad side effects e.g heart failure, swallen legs she was admitted to the hospital because of that and for 7 months none of the doctors new what was wrong with her until I checked on the internet the side effects and as if I can see my mother infront of me.  Now what is the soloution for parkinson if she stops sifrol its very bad and if she continues is so bad what is the solution? please reply to me Doctors.

Hooray!!!!!  I have just had the best sleep for 2 nights that I can remember formany years, 1/2 sofril started 2 days ago!!!  Not only did I sleep, and not have to go to the bathroom, but my dreams, always very detailed and complicated, have not stayed witjh me after I woke up. I hope this lasts forever!!!!!

if taking 'madopar and sifrol' for parkinsons can i take a magnesium supplement as well

can sifrol cause you to not be able to empty bowel even when there is pressure in the bowel
