Sulfasalazine

I have delusions of grandeur where I think i am Napoleon and taking over the world... just kidding. Seriously, it does seem to impact my mental state some though. I feel like spirits are crawling around in me but it's just anxiety.

sulfasalazine: I have started taking nearly 3 months ago amd its effect made me weaker and tired most of the time, muscle cramps started and made it difficult even standing up, breathlessness and coughing especially in the evening is worse, fluid retention also effected the joints, but it has given my joints less painful manovarability..

I have been using sulfasalazine for about 13 years and now I have burning pain in my foots and hands. Some days at the morning I have these swollen fingers. What now??!!

had a like for like expeirence only diffrence have never sufferd from depresion before starting the sulph.4x 500mg a day 10 weeks in seasick constantly agressive, confused ,just wanted to die.would not recomend this drug to no one,

weird dreams, confused, loss of memory, aggresive, self harm, tiredness,all these posts and my doctor hasn't herd of sulphasalazine having this effect and tried to put me on anti-depressants, i think he should go back to med school.

started with bad dreams thinking things had realy happened ,constantly sweating loss of memory,paranoid ,bad tempered aggressive,suicidal depressed ,was perfectly normal until starting sulphasalzine for r.a.

I have sickness, loss of appetite, awful oral thrush, reflux acid, always tired and so thirsty. I also have loss of energy and feel quite weak. I have been so irritable and itchy.

I'm having the same sensation - I feel like I'm seasick.  I've been on the medicine for 2 months and I think I'm going to stop taking it.

week 4 having weird dreams and anxiety attacks

i had been on this drug for 4 weeks and had mild side effects including nausea loss of appetite confused feeling unable to sleep
however once the dose got to 4 500mg tabs a day i became very aggresive and aggitated to the point killing myself seemed like a good idea in my own head
having woken up on christmas eve in a seething mood hating everything including myself i decided to stop this drug immediately before i harmed myself or someone else
i was literally losing control of myself
its ruined the kids christmas
i would advise anyone who has suffered depression or anxiety and offered this drug to think long and hard before starting it
i would rather be crippled than feel how i did on the upper doses of this drug
and since stopping it (three days now) i am feeling far more like my old self

I started Sulfasalazine 500mg for three weeks and all the simptopms listed below i experienced and didnt really help anything on reliefing the pain , just today i have hands, knees, fingers and other part os the boody swollen, so for me this is the worst drug ever.

week 5 of sulphasalazine, starting to feel joint pain getting touch better, I'm never out toilet though peeing, urine orange.
good and bad days with tiredness.

Hi Mia how is your head any unusual  feelings  happening for you at all . My  second week and i'm off balance   just  wondering how  others are  coping .

do you have any  unusual  light headed ness  I have ands it's annoying me  I feel like things are moving  around  like being on a escalator .

12 weeks on Sulfasalazine for Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have more joint pain than I ever had more fatigue and the most horrendous hot flashes all day long and at night sweats as well .... the nausea too is horrible .....

At about the third week of 500mg 2x a day, I developed severe dyspepsia ; abdominal pain, gas, and  bloating. I also could not eat, had mouth sores, and fatique. I stopped taking the drug. It is now 4 days later, and I still have dyspepsia, cramping, and gas. Horrible drug!

Taking 2-  500 mg tablets a day for collagenous colitis. At about 3 weeks, began to have stomach pain; varying in intensity.
