    the medication was effective in releiving the pain .The side effects were not ,constipation,Blood in urine,Pancreatitis,depression.
    It was not until after i had been admitted to hospital that i read the phamphlet describing the symptoms,
    The Drs did a CAT scan as they were concerned about the area of pancres that was affected.the last portion of pancreas.
    Diagnosis was blocked bowel with pancreatitis.

    i have bursitis in my hip flexors and a bulging disc in my lumber spine caused by rowing. My doctor put me on Synflex 550mg for 6 months to deal with the pain over the rowing season, but does not have any effect on the accute pain that shoots down my legs. A side effect i have been dealing with for the past month is ringing in my left ear (tinnitus). I have had some problems with my left ear since i was little but have never experienced ringing before. since i have stopped taking synflex the ringing has disapeared. I've tryed various other pain medications but they also have no effect. I cannot continue on with rowing and have to endure the pain. I am only 14yrs and will have a bad back for the rest of my life.

    I have osteoarthritis in both knees and one hip. I do supervised weight-training 3 times a week to strengthen muscles around these joints and for general fitness. This helps immensely but I still experience a lot of pain and stifness most days, especially when standing for any length of time. When it gets too bad, or I have to go to a function,etc. which involves standing for a while, I take Synflex and all the pain goes. I feel completely "normal" just as I did before arthritis struck 10 years ago. I have no noticeable side effects. I asked my doctor if I could take Synflex every day and regain my previous level of activity (tennis, hiking, etc.). He said it would be very dangerous to take it every day as the effect on the heart could be disasterous, also kidney damage, etc. I do not take any other medication and am in good health. I know some people who take it every day and can only assume that their pain is so great that they are prepared to risk their health to get relief. What is the real truth about the effects of daily intake of Synflex? I am 63 years old and want to avoid surgery for as long as I can.
