Terbinafine

I have been taking Terbinafine and am experiencing insomnia and anxiety attacks at night.

I was prescribed Terbinafine for a nail fungus. This is the third day that i have taken it and dizziness followed by a headache has occurred. Should i be worried?

I have been taking Terbibfine for 2 weeks and lately I have been experienceing stomach pain,ongoing headaches and gas and bowel movements are extremly foul. I'm hoping this goes away as my skin (fungal infection) is begining to clear on my hands so I think the medication is working.

Debilitating dizziness, while driving at night, the traffic lights and street lights started spinning left to right around my head, almost causing an accident as I tried to pull off the road and stop  I was in the emergency ward for 3 days without diagnosis.  I am now out patient and the doctors will see me starting tomorrow.  Meanwhile, I put together that the only major change in my daily  medicine intake was a dermatologist had assighed me Terbinafine  for 90 days, 3 days prior to my attack.

I have started taking Terbinafine tablets for Toenail Fungal infection 5 weeks ago. Lost all my taste and have metallic taste now with everything I eat. Should I continue the last 14 tablets remaining, if I take them would I get my taste back? Toe nail looks like it is growing back to normal but slowy.

would terbiafine effect your prostate?  I take Advart and Flomax and since I have been taking the terbinafine I have been going #1 all night and day

Noticed loss of taste after taking for a week or so This is slowly returning now. Sarted itching on hands and feet within a few days of stopping  medication. Gradually got worse - as it gradually could be itchy anywhere on my body.Went to pharmacist and got an anti-histamine which helped. One month later I am still getting the itchiness but managing to go two days without taking a pill. Do hope this comes to an end soon.

I have lost my taste too since first week in January. Did your sense of taste come back?
Reeling desperate as eating food tastes like eating soap with a bitter after taste. Can you recommend anything. Thanks Pamela

Having taken only my first terbinafine tablet yesterday I was o.k  but had diarrhoea today.  I took a second tablet on day 2, and felt sick and giddy with slightly blurred vision an hour later.  Then I felt bloated with slight abdominal pain.  I have decided not to take any more tablets, but I will continue with painting my 3 toe nails after asking for a new prescription from the Doctor.

HAS YOUR TASTE COME BACK YET

Have taken terbinafine for 3 mos have lost all taste other then that no other symptoms that i know of ,toe nails have come back about 80% at this point hoping for 100%within a month or so as i understant there is a healing period afterstopping pills,also hoping taste will come back in time if not was it worth it????

i have been taking terbinafine for 3-4 months now and recently within the last couple weeks i have been experiencing regular panic attacks, ive beening up at A&E and had ecgs and the whole lot and put it down to panic attacks and nothing more. has anyone else experienced this? and how long did it last for? i stopped taking it over a week ago but they still persist.

well i got started on the med and i've noticed peeling on my feet and my palms are itching and a bit swollen

chronic peeling skin on palms and feet. Hives itching rash.

I used Terbinafine in Jan of 2010 for a nail fungus infection. Lost my ability to taste food after about 2and a half months. After three months I stopped taking the drug. My nail did clear up but I now have a world class case of psoriasis. I never had psoriasis in my life! My feet have deep fissures in them and my fingers and the bottoms of my feet crack, peel and bleed most of the time. I have gotten an infection in my foot from the thick and cracking callouses twice now. Nothing is working and I have been to 3 doctors and tried every product on the market to no avail. In July, I am going to have to start on a regimen of powerful drugs to take out my immune system because the psoriasis is some of the worst the doctors have ever seen. None of this happened until I took the terbinafine. Please think twice before you take this drug, the side effects have basically ruined my life.
