I wanted to address some of the myths about testosterone replacement therapy. I myself a 42 year old male was tested by my Dr for T levels and they were low. I took Testim Gel for approximatly 2 months and had little to no improvment. The gel simply did not absorb to be received byb the androgen receptors therefore my Dr prescribed Testosterone Cypionate injections . I had to ask because of all the hype of "roid rage". He explained to me that Testosterone is a primary male hormone that we have in our body from teen age years on and we did not have this rage prior so whe adding synthetic T we get a mildly higher level ( 650-1000) but not the level of body builders (4000 an up) . T adds to a mans confidence and agression . Dont mistake agression for rage, he explained that if you were a nice guy before T you will remain a nice guy , if you were a Jerk it will make you a much bigger jerk. Testim Gel is such a mild form of replacement therapy that it is unlikely the real culprit of a person having rage incidents. I have now been on injections for over a year now and my girlfriend says I am a much calmer nicer man because the irritant that is LOW T is no longer there. Testim actually takes 2-4 months to really be effective and create a normal level. For the authority on Testosterone therapy Dr Larry Lipshultz at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston texas) is one of the best in the world . have your husband see a Dr that literally wrote the book on this sfuff.

I have used Testim in the past and its OK. After I finished the Testim - I have been using the Dr Max Powers Testosterone Boost for 4+ years. I absorbing it and the body regulating to the introduction of the hormone takes awhile, at least it did for me. Its also better than taking Testim again.

You seem kind of young for low T levels. I do not want anymore kids, but a sexy wife that's needs regular servicing. My Doctor did a full blood work up and said my levels are back to normal now. I think its mainly because I took the Testosterone Boost from Dr Max Powers to help maintain the levels. And did so in a healthy way. I know he checked my pituitary, and the results came back OK.

April, I myself am trying to research side effects. My husband has been using Testim since two months after marriage. I have been at a point where I dont know why I even married him. His anger is relentless. He is jealous of everything and very aggressive towards everyone. It is very important to know that we as women CANNOT touch this stuff. He was very careful at first but has become careless of it shortly after he started it. It has caused side effects for me as well. So now, we are two time bombs just waiting to explode. Everyday there is an argument. I find I am better sleeping in the other room but I now realize it may be due to not touching this stuff on him. *DONT_KNOW*

I am currently on Testim and have been for about 2 years now along with low T , I am a type 2 diabetic. First of all let me say that Testim has done miracles for my wife of 30 years and my sex life. I have more energy and work out daily at the gym. Recently however I had a very ugly event, I was on a binge drinking night and absolutley turned into a raging animal , was arrested and assaulted officers. I do not remember anything about the incident , understand I have never been in trouble in my life. I am a ex police officer now manager of a large nation wide distribution company , with 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I swear by Testim that it is a wonderful and am very grateful that it has brought me back to feel like a young man again, howver be careful when mixing alcohol. I am having my doctor next week run my labs to see if my T level is too high.

Thank you for ensuring myself that I am not crazy. Unfortunately things have not gotten any better with my husband and I. I am going to file for divorce in order for me to gain some happiness. I hope that all works out with you and your husband. I am so frustrated with medicines like this, I am sure that in the studies there were clear signs of the things that we are going through. My husband before this was a closed person and the drug Testim has had it worse. He doesn't believe that the drug affected him (typical man). To anyone that is going through this like I am please I beg you to get a support circle around you because this journey is not an easy one and will really start to affect you. I am not sure if anyone that is going through this is religious but I am and you all are in my prayers. Good Luck!!!!

My husband has also been taking Testim since about August 2010 and I am experiencing the same exact thing.  I have actually moved out of my house because of his lack of compassion, it's been two weeks since I left and he still will not talk to me about our problems. As you said every marriage has its ups and downs and these problems are not something that can't be fixed, he has just lost all interest in us.  That is the reason that I came looking for other patient experiences with the drug. The only suggestion I can offer is to try and go to the doctor with him and discuss what you are experiencing with the doctor, trust me, I now that it is not all in your head and I feel your pain.

My husband also was taking Testim since october 2010 and has recently stopped. his level of anger became to the point that it would go from 0 to 11 within a second. He began to withdraw from me and also has asked for a divorce. He is sleeping on the couch and has been now for the past two weeks. Our relationhsip has had its ups and downs like any marriage, but this is crazy. I ask him why does he want a divorce ans he says that it is just how he feels. It is almost like the medicine has taken his affection and compassion from me. Does any one have any ideas or suggestions?

My husband has been on Testim for a while and he has had the same effects.  His personality changed, he stopped being affectionate and now he wants a divorce...YES I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM!!!  He is a bully.

Wow!  I thought I was the only one with this problem.  My husband has been using testim for several months.  He has become totally with drawn from me.  I have asked for a hug and he just looks at me.   Last night I went to kiss him good night and he totally ignored me.  I interrupted the finalle of one of his shows.   I am so depressed from the lack of affection I am thinking about divorcing him.   I asked him what was wrong and he finally said it is just antsy....

My husband is having terrible mood swings as well. He is very angry and negative about everything.There are times when he is just so mean.  He is emotionally on edge and has a very short fuse. He keeps telling me how horrible I am! He is even talking a divorce after 28 years. Anybody have any suggestions?

My husband has been on testim for a few months now. I noticed a difference in his attitute to and thought over time it would get better. It has only gotten worse. He treats me horrible and is now wanting a divorce. I love my husband and want things back to the way they were. Its good to see someone else is having this problem to. I thought it was just me.

My husband is going thru the same thing. Very moody. Emotionally on edge. Quick to react negativly, He is unable to see it too!! Everything is my fault. There has to be something else!!

yes to the extreme.  He's louder even when just talking, angry all the time, emotionally on edge..and he doesn't really see it!!  I'm calling his dr. for other options.

My husband recently started Testim and now has become angry and has rages.  He has always been somewhat vocal but his personality has really chanaged.  Has anyone experienced this problem?
