Unisom

Have been taking 16 Unisom 50 mg pills every night for months....can I die?

took one tonight, like 3rd night on them..... about 20min later im drowsing out (good thing right?) wrong! fall into some sort of weird sleeping stae, where off the wall stuff is happening in the dream, lasts for less than 2-5min and i wake up literally paralyzed from top to bottom. my eyes are trying to force themselves open as i try to move any part of my body... freaking out at this point, then somehow manage to get a muscle to twitch on my body somewhere (like my foot) and then i violently shake it till my motor skills work again and im awake, sitting up and able to move freely...... few min later, fall asleep and repeat all over... never experienced something so scary as to temporarily have no control over my own body movement =(

youre not alone.  ive done that too.  that shit used to scare my therapist but when youre depressed youll do anything to escape it.  its pretty scary though.  taking that much pills can make hallucinate like crazy

i have found that unisom does cause some muscle spasms over time but it does say to avoid alchohol on the drug facts lable.  i hope my response is helpful to you

u must really wanna fuck up ur liver or even worse die...idk how u ppl harm ur body and mess with death the way u do...ppl that dnt have the oppertunity to walk,run,talk,etc wish they had a healthy body like urs deserve it..pieces of shit like urself are just a waste of life...seriously ppl like urself make me sick...its like grow up and get a pet or sumthin cuz ur obviously cryin for attention...grow up...

I take aleast 32 pills a day have done that 6 years am I alone?

I have taken one tablet and have had muscle spasms, first time I was actually lifted off of bed with the confulsions, anyone else have this? and i do drink beer, would that contribute to that problem?

i had insomnia for almost 3 weeks... then i told my friend about it and he bought me 2 tablets of unisom... i took one last night and it made me sleep for 11 hours... :)

i had mucus thickening on my throat.. that's all... nothing else... :)

i have aphasia for 17yrs. Mild headache in both the temporal and parietal lobe areas, was unable to sleep with dosages from 25 mg to 150mg. with no history of sleep disorders. on the 150mg dosage i did not sleep at all.

Well,,truth is,,I didn't initially associate my problems with Unisom.  In nov and Dec I was taking Unisom and was also experiencing what I thought was a serious medical problem.  I had horrible muscle weakness and back pain and just seemed that my muscles would hardly hold my body up.  I was also depressed, etc.  Made a doctors appointment and had all the blood tests and xrays and nothing showed up.  I was so ill I actually thought I had some terminal disease.  Well all went away and recently I had sleep issues so I bought some unisom as it was effective for sleep and noticed that the same muscle weakness came back and i am saying,,,to the point where I could barely walk up a step.  And realized that I was taking Unisom when I had these issues prior.  This drug needs to be investigated further.   

what are the side affects after using unisom.when i dnt take it i feel like im sick and get this nausea feeling
