    I have just started using vagifem this week, only three doses so far. However, I do use a hormone cream (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone). Also, my mother passed away from endometrial cancer. I'm wondering what risk it is to me and how long does it take for side effects to manifest? Nothing as of yet but after reading here, I'm not sure I want to continue with it. Side effects other than the risk of cancer, weight gain is not something I want right now. Hard enough as it is.

    I had a horrible experience on vagifem at the 25 mg dose.  My doctor prescribed it daily rather than daily for one to two weeks and then twice a week.  I had severe bilateral headaches in my temporal lobe areas.  Then, I started having vision issues, which I think were gaze evoked nystagmus.  It was awful.  I went off of them but it took 2-3 months for the eye issues to go all the way away.  On top of all that, I was extremely anxious during this time.  I'm glad they took the higher dosage off the market.
