Wellbutrin

I didn't even realize all the symptoms i was experiencing was from the wellbutrin until I stopped taking it and they all disappeared. I was on Wellbutrin XL 300mg, the generic for 6 months, and then switched to the brand name for about 4 months. I had some scary side effects the first two weeks, but most of those went away with time. After the initial 2 weeks, I suffered from a constant pressure headache that would NEVER go away no matter what I did or how many ibuprofen, tylenol, or naproxen I tried to take. I also had shaky hands and the occasional head twitch that I seemed to have no control over. I thought for a while I had some sort of neurological problem. My urine always smelled god awful and I would have to always spray the bathroom afterwards to cover the stench. I had trouble sleeping at night, insomnia and I even tried Trazodone and then Ambien after my doctor prescribed them. Neither one worked for me in the least bit. I was also slightly jittery, like I had just had a few cups of coffee. oh...and speaking of coffee, I had absolutely NO tolerance for coffee whatsoever. If I had a single sip of coffee, my heart started racing, my headache intensified, and I felt a strong sense of anxiety. It was the strangest thing. I didn't drink coffee for almost a year.
It wasn't until I quit Wellbutrin about 6 months ago, that I realized that all these things were caused by the Wellbutrin. I now can drink 2-3 cups of a coffee a day without any bad side effects, am headache free, my urine smells normal, and my hands no longer shake. Oh yes, and most important of all-I CAN SLEEP!!! YES!

I have been taking bupropion SR150 mg 2 x daily for exactly 1 week. A coupe of days ago I started to get a buzzing in my ear. I am concerned about permanent damage, I don't want to take this medication.
Should I stop immediately??? will there be side effects???.

trouble speaking, vertigo, slurred speach

I guess my symptom is rare...i have been taking for two weeks and have noticed tight joints, and random spurts of pain almost to numbness, all over my body. It wasn't too overwhelming or alarming though until today. I followed the doctors orders and took two pills in the morning to start off a week of 2 in the morn, one at night. All day the pain i have been feeling in my joints and muscles has exacerbated! I am going to taper off quickly or stop because its freaking me out!

I just started taking it. So far I'm mainly nauseated and got the shakes.

I have been taking the generic form of Wellbutrin XL 150, bupropionHCL for two weeks.  I have extreme stomach pains and diarrhea. Everything I eat seems to go straight through me.

I'm 17 now but i took this around when i was 8-13 years old. it made me lose my appetite and in doing so i had a severe drop in weight,i weighed 50 when i was 13. It also made me wet the bed very frequently, nearly every night of the week.

i also have sarciodosis and this might also be a cause of my face twitching on the head aches my doctor lowered the dosage of wellbrutrin from 350mg to 150mg to see if will stop the twitching in my face so if the twitches go away maybe its the sarciodosis ireally dont know can some one help me with this

i am a 37 year old female who has been taking wellbutrin 4 about four months on saturday i went to the emergengy room with a bad headache and the right side of my face twitching and it hasnt stopped yet does anyone else experince these side effects

I would not wait to see what happens next.  If you are on generic switch to brand.  Otherwise stop the medication.

Been on Generic. Been on Brand.  Generic gave me all kinds of side- effects.  Brand did not.  For the first 5 years, Brand was awesome but then when the company got patented they messed around with the ingredients and it lost its midas touch.  Now Im suppose to take another added antidepressant to compensate for the loss.  At this same time, it just so happened that the company made another antidepressant and it is being marketed. WHAT A COINCIDENCE!
But for the most part, (to all those on generic) don't waste your time.  I rather pay $400.00 for the brand name. I have NO side-effects. And if you are a thin person (even better) you can get a decent effect but with the maximum dosage.

Hi there, Ive noticed after 4 days on wellbutrin that the inside of my mouth is tingling, also my lips.
There is also a strange taste in my mouth. Do I need to stop this medicine or will this dissapear after time.
