    i took my 2 yr old daughter in to the er for vomiting and diarrhea and they gave her zofran the next day shes having seizures now shes on seizure meds and has to go for more futher testing doctors should  check meds before handing them out like they do what if it were there children

    My son was given Zofran in the emergency Dept when he went in for stomach pain, within hours he was agitated. I read the possible side effects, with included seizures and since he had a history of seizures I voiced my concerns, they stated it was the standard drug given in the ED n was benign, hours later he had constant massive seizures, his heart stopped n they had to bring him back n After coming home he became almost incoherent n still complained of nausea so we returned to the ED. I asked them not to give him the Zofran but again they said standard drug and benign, within mins of taking Zofran he started seizing n went into cardiac arrest again they brought him back but 5 days later he was blind and died
