Zoloft

While growing up I had low self confidense, low self esteem, suicidal thoughts, depression. THis went on for about 20 -30 years till one day a doctor put me on zoloft and I honestly feel good! I am not moody or angry anymore and I don't feel like hurting anyone including myself.

To me, this drug is the greatest thing for me. I wish I would have had it when I was in school. yeah I have gained a little bit of weight but I am a nicer, friendlier person and I don't mind dealing with people anymore. Honestly before I was on it , my attitude towards life and people almost caused my marriage to fail. Now things are better. been on it for about 5 years and would not want to be who I use to be anymore.

I suppose it works for some better than others..

im gaining wieth with zoloft but im thinking about exerxising

i feel cool ,not so stress anymore, i can take problems smoothly, my heart is not painful anymore when i get upset, but, when i did not take oneday, I feel like vomiting and headache.. I just start using Zoloft for one week. I dont know if its really good or not

My wife has been on Zoloft for a few months. i found her personality changed as she became a colder non caring person. Since, then our marriage has been on the rocks. She had a affair and was caught and showed little remorse. I am not saying that Zoloft had all to do with this. However, the emotional part of what she did does not clearly hit home with her. Its been a very disturbing and diificult time for us. I recommended her getting off of the stuff so we could try to rebuild our marriage. *DONT_KNOW*

I have been taking zoloft for 2 years now. My mother passed away a little over a year ago and i have not yet grieved over her yet. On zoloft i feel like i have no emotions. i feel like i am just existing! I have put on20 pounds and i exercise daily and the pounds just wont come off. I am afraid to go off it. but am very confused what to do. The dr. is no help. he keeps saying i have to give it time to get used to it. HOW LONG IS THAT !!!! I feel angry , hateful, and sometimes i just feel like getting in my car and driving but what good would that do. i dont feel much happiness in my life! what can i do?

Ive been taking Zoloft for 30 yrs Im wondering if Its causing me to have stomach cramps some time direeha some times I cant have a bowl movement and I havent told anyone else but my husband about ocassional thoughts of suside. Ive tried getting off Zoloft,but I get real sick and my whole personality changes I feel agressive,mean and have many feelings to end it all. Doctors said Ihad to take it for the rest of my life due to a chemical imbalance.  My husband take St Johns Wart and it helps him. That is why I wanted to get off the Zoloft and try St Johns Wart .. Any suggestions out there?

My daughter has been on Zoloft for 8 years she is 13 now and she has all kinds of side effect difficulty breathing lightheadedness stomach pain . She had her gall bladder removed when she was twelve. Are these side effect permanent? or will she get better?

Zoloft causes low sex drive and ejaculation failure.

HORRIBLE stomach cramps. couldn't even walk. also, MAJOR diarhea.

Jen - it's more likely you have PCOS than the Zoloft doing those things to you. Get checked out for that.

I've been taking Zoloft for a number of years.  I did not have any problems to begin with but now I have so many issues with bowel problems, terrible skin condition and am unable to lose weight.  I have become gluten intolerant and various spices where once I could eat anything without any problems.

Zoloft has been fantastic in helping  with my anxiety issues.  The biggest side effect I have noticed is an increase in bowel movements and constant thirst.  Both side effects are tolerated because it helps me so much.
