Imean zopiclone Iwant to take is 6months past the use by date. Can somebody help me please ...will this be ok?

Can I take zopiclone 6months out of date?

hi im a bit worried because i have a horrible metal taste in my mouth has any 1 experienced that

I took Zopiclone on and off for about 6 years and never had much trouble,then I finally became dependent on it. I only took it every night for about two months before weaning myself off the drug.
That was over one and a half years ago and I have not been able to sleep more than two hours a night.
I have great dificulty getting to sleep and never feel drowsy no matter how tired I am( I am unable to nap during the day even if I have been up 36 hours. I feel that my sleep mechanism has been permanently damaged as I now have tinnitis. Has anyone else had this problem?

zopiclone worked one nite only after 2weeks of wakeing up at 2am ive started activan again. 1 mg is no longer working i may fall a sleep somtimes but my sleep is very broken and i get up tired every day which makes me depressed. my sleep habits are normal dark no drugs or tv i exersise daily in the am. medicaly i feel alright except sleep problem june 2011 until present tired all the time its been a life changeing experince.

Yes i also feel tightening in my throat and some anxiety during the dsy. Trying to figire out the best way to come off it. I take 2 7.5mg every night

I have been on Zopiclone for several years, it generally has been pretty good to me and helped me with insomnia.

A few side effects are somewhat disturbing in that I do feel more depressed than I would like, which can be hard on those around me, and is particularly a concern at the moment as my work is very stressful and I think Zopiclone contributes to it.

The second is sexual in the sense that my libido is basically dead. I have gone from quite enthusiastic about sex to basically disinterested and almost unable to perform....orgasms are a thing of the past unless the stimulation is extreme and continuous, and my spouse is not a porn star and so does not perform at that level.

I am tempted to get off of Zopiclone and that should not be a problem as I have been able to control the dosage (I am on 7.5 per evening). Question is, will my sleep go all to crap again and if so, what can I do as an alternative?

Why don't you try over the counter Sominex, they work well x

I have been taking zopiclone full on for just over a year, sometimes when I'm worrying and can't stop thinking I take 2 x 7.5 but they always work their magic even when I reduce the dosage..... Not good advise but try with a glass of wine?

Me too, kathy...surprising that no one else is mentioning this strange anxiety side effect. One would think that a good night's sleep would NOT result in needless paranoia.

jeez looking at all the bad experiences I am wondering if its the same drug I am taking. I only take half of one and it has helped me a lot. I suffer from severe panic anxiety disorder as well as depression and the insomnia was unbearable....this seems to be the only one that works....not many side affects thankfully.

Dry mouth an d after 2 yrs on this drug feel dependant on it . plua it seems to be losing it's effect

mood swings from really angry to floods of tears. Suicidal thoughts. Confusion and lack of concentration. Occasional vivid nightmares.

after being very stressed over money worries,and manic through lack of sleep,was prescribed zopiclone,was extremely confused,and my short term memory was severely affected.put myself in danger by driving and not reallky knowing where was,even though i was in very familar surroundings.its a serious worry to me.that this drug willmake symptons of stress and depression worse

I take Zopiclone as well and also experience some minor memory loss too and occationally have a severe anxiety attack as well. Not sure if it is directly related to the drug or just the stresses of being a university student.. who knows.

I am just figuring out that zopiclone is giving me severe anxiety. When i wake up in the morning its frightening. This anxiety usually last through out the day, then i need a pill at night to sleep because of my anxiety. Vicious circle.

I have been experiencing memory problems. I never considered it might be the zopilcone. I feel like my long term memory has been wiped clean. What sort of memory problems are you having?

ive been taking zopiclone for a few months im scared in coming off them but i want to as i dont want to depend on them. my throat is constantley feeling tight if i chew gum it helps has any body else have these symptons?

they work great and help a bunch. been using pro zopiclone and other zopiclones 5 and 7.5mg . they work great , nasty side effect from time to time.  They help alot. im a real insomniac. my worst was life threatening. 5days and half up no sleep at all barely hate too.. on the *feeling* note. u feel relaxed. sometime drunk.

I gave up marajana last week and because i was a heavy prolonged smoker found it hard to sleep, or i would wake up half way through the night. I take 7.5mg once or twice a night before bed (for the past 3 nights). They work a treat, but its worse than being drunk on facebook... i end up typing all sorts of stuff just before bed! Then i cringe the next day!! I plan to stop them by the end of the week, i just wanted to use them to settle into a routine. So far so good :D

Been depressed for months and these only work for me after drinking . Metallic taste in mouth, dioreha, feeling worse the next morning but can't sleep without it. So tired. Found this site this morning- hope Mr Peace made it?

my experience is ok, but i tend to need the med's always, so i guess i am addict of the zoplicone and in canada the drug is very diffucult to get, the dr here to not want to perscribe it, mind u i do need at least 15 to 23 mg to have any affect on me, my body is immuned to the medication, but i find it helps me in other ways, durung the day i tend to function better then without the med, so that is my story, any comment please e-mail me at nan86@live.ca thanks

It helps if someone has got acute insomania due to abusining hardcore stuff like she is so heavy or long dependence on crezy stuffs in both case ,it helps to overcome the cold turkey time line...if ZOPICONE is not possible as peel , then you can make through saline water with some clanazepam ( not more than 3.5 mg) Just you get your Zopanic!!! Welcome to Z drugs if you have love for life....and pretty lust to survive....

I find it impossible to sleep without them but feel shaky and weak all day, no energy.

I started takin them when I couldn't sleep about 1.5 yrs ago.  Mainly due to stress and anxiety.  I am now talking 1.5 7.5 mg pills a day.  Can;t sleep without them.  I most certainky loose my memory after I take them, sort of anyways, it's a like a dream.....  also I do get twitches in my left arm and hand periodically..........stupid.....

I,ve been taking zopiclone since march this year .sleep ok some nights and some nights not. they make me very groggy and weak during the day I have very bad anxiety and depression .I skake very badly I had 1 night about 2 months ago I took 15 zopliclones Just had enough I guess spent the night in the hospital now i,m on a sleep program if that goes well maybe in a few months I can wean myself off of them but will I be able to sleep without them?I

been on zopiclone for 5 years worst thing i did i am now taking three 7.5 tabs a night have astma chest problems cronic chogh cant stop them or cut down the withdrawll is far worse

You should really talk to someone before making such a drastic decision, this is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Nothing is irreparable or bad forever.  

I am going to kill myself taking a mixture of Zopiclone capcitabine alchol and Sevredol. I wonder how much it will take and how long it will take

i have been taking zopiclone since april this year thay helped me to sleep at first bliss but then the tablets stoped working so i THOUGHT i would start to reduce my dose plus i was sleep walking and wakeing up with injuries on my body as seen as i stated to reduce my dose i got the most severe anxiety ever my depressions got bad medication was working fine before taking zopiclone my insomia as got worse i shake very irritable confusion iv even think off taking my own life im finding it very hard to came off them and i dont think i will ever get off them 

Been taking them for 2 days and feel depressed, which is something i have never felt before! So it;s definintely these drugs. I would rather not sleep than go through this. I have become quite aggresive as well.

I took 6 tablets (7.5 each ) today to prepare for a sleep, am i on the verge of dieing? Any replies welcome. It's 0545 at my place, i took the 1st pill at 9am... gosh....

This world is a materialist world, there's no love, too much tension especially at metropolies. Zolief makes me dumber to external shxts happening , as i hate imjustice and love mankind. I also benefit from this drug for a good sleep, ironically, to deal with all blood-sucking , selfish people during day time on the earth. The end of days are coming..... i have a right to relax from collective human selfishness. I'm doing no harm to others.

i have been taking zop fow awhile its the only sleeping aid that doesnt make me feel drowsy the next day, the 2 side effects though that i have are I dont remember what i did the next day after taking the pills and i tend to get abnoxios when i take them...

i took zopiclone becaouse i coulnd sleep ... but i felt depressed, i had bad feeling in my chest, my blood pressure was too fast, sometimes was difficult to breath for me... i stoped teaking zopiclone 1 week ago but i still feel really bad...

I took them and they made me dizzy..wonder if that will go away?? I thought you would feel tired.

I have been taking 7.5mg each night for the past year, due to my condition of Fibromyalgia. I have no side affects from these tablets apart from a dry mouth when I wake up in the morning. i do however get a full 8 hr sleep so it makes taking them worth while.

my mom has been takeing zopiclone. how long im not sure but i keep hearing her screaming and shouting in the middle of the night. i get so scared but i wasnt sure witch of her tablets were causing this. she is on too many tablets for one person in my mind. she is on that many there may be a lot of side effects to all of the tablets that are the same in many ways i am only 16 and not sure what to do so if any one has any infomation about zopiclone and about other tablets with less side effects please please help me. my e-mail is carelessstef@aol.com thank you. 

I am on zopiclone while i dont take them every night I am finding I am getting more depressed on them can anyone let me know whether this is a side effect of them.      They dont cause breathleness with me,  I relax so well with them.    

Also the tolerance is so fast that I find I get withdrawal symptoms the next day after taking my first dose the night before.

I have had horrible depression and anxiety all my life, and there doesn't seem to be anything to treat it.  Makes me think that those in power don't get this, otherwise more effort would have been made to understand the neurochemicals and receptors involved.  I assume that money is the greatest antidepressant, and that requires that people like me be just trodden on.

Not sure if this is the Zopiclone, but my whole body feels very cold, and this is late April in the UK, with the heat turned on.  Particularly my hands and feet, but even the usually warm parts aren't that warm.

I have taken several one-month courses of Zopiclone, and when I stop taking them for at least 24 hours and probably 48 hours I feel terrible, can't sleep at all, or do anything, and lose appetite completely.  Also I get very visually vivid dreams, they aren't unpleasant and I wouldn't call them hallucinations, but the ambient anxiety and insomnia isn't pleasant.

I've experienced most of the same symptoms as you Amelia (clammy hands, diarreah, occasional headache, hungry often...) however the side effects were more moderate for me I suppose.  I haven't experienced them to the same degree as needing to call an ambulance.

I felt low and inexplicably anxious after three doses. Do not recommend

Burning in stimach/acid reflux

I've been taking zopiclone for the past three months, on 7.5mg which I'm told is the maximum. It does help me sleep for a few hours but feel droswy and tired the next day.  Since taking it, I've lost nearly 2 stones in weight.  Does anyone know if this is A)coming off the mercilon contraceptive pill, B) taking Citalopram for anxiety or C) Zopiclone.  Any ideas?

I have been on Zopiclone 7.5mg for about 7 years now, I get metallic taste and dry mouth and about an hour after taking I get really hungry. It doesn't work as good as it did in the beginning but I guess my body is used to it but I do get around 5 hours sleep and a sufferer or fibromyalgia I also find it eases my muscle pain and I am wondering if there is another tablet within the zopiclone range but not a sleeping tablet that I could take during the day for pain? I would not like to be without my Zopiclone it is a life saver, it seems to relax and calm me even if I don't sleep that well

i had nausea, diaroherra, clammy hands sweats rung the ambulance twice feeling un well, the shakes headaches etc

I've only been taking this  a week now, started with a full 5mg pill for 2 days but find just a half seems to do the trick.  No side affects so far, no dreams or dry mouth.  Just good solid sleep and wake up alert, vibrant and refreshed.  I did try one night without it but spent the night tapping my feet and tossing and worrying and was wrecked for the whole day.  Now I'm afraid not to take it but I don't want to be dependent on it either.   Could be just the stressful time I'm going through right now.  

I find Zopiclone only works about two thirds of the time for my severe insomnia. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, weight gain, that is difficult to deal with as I have Fibromyalgia and one of the symptoms of it is weight gain as well.  I have been taking it more and more in recent months and have found that even when it does work and I get some sleep I still feel extreme exhaustion, muscle fatigue, sweats, heart palpitations, negative thinking. Im going to go off it and go back to trying natural remedies again.

I slept well, but had a hard time with my vision in the morning for a few hours and won't take it again. I could see colour but mostly everything seemed to be black and white with surreal angules to lines.  After awhile everything I looked at was like pushing your finger on a LCD screen where everything gets distorted.  Metallic taste to everything and super-dry mouth.

Taking then long term ,also i cannot sleep without them, and some nights, i cannot sleep even
though i have taken them. Am i ammuendto them

i have been taken zopiclone 15mg ( i know its a very high dose) but i still go 3 or 4 nights on a regular basis without sleeping any ideas as to what i can do. :(

I have been taking Zopiclone 3.5 mg for 3 years on and off. Yes, it can give u the odd dreams and sweating, but I prefer this this than a 3 hour sleep and feeling shattered!
