Seroquel Side Effects Report #SELF-2490

Male patient reported the following Seroquel side effect(s):hypertension, increased heart rate, headaches, daily spontaneous nosebleeds, nocturnal seizures, weight gain, need for excessive sleep (15 - 16 hours/day), lethargy, apathy, difficulty waking up, carb cravings, sugar cravings, munchies 1 - 2 hours after taking med.

***Seroquel CAN cause hypertension! Nosebleeds were so bad i bled out of my eyes!

Dosage: was fine on 50 mg, problems started at 100 mg, completely unable to function on XR 300mg
Frequency: 1x/day - evening

Other medications: lamictal (because lamictal is an anti-seizure medication, it may have prevented my seizures from being more profound)
Diagnosis: bipolar/mood disorder
Pre-existing conditions: 14 year old, completely healthy, bright, active, athletic male. Starting weight 138, weight when hospitalized 1 month after beginning the XR 300 mg dose, 178.
