Female patient reported the following Bepanthen side effect(s):I suffer mild hypertension and take 80mg Diovan per day. My bp. went up to 159 over 105. I also have a thyroid problem and my thyroid swelled considerably. I had symptoms of overactive thryoid although my blood tests showed levels of hormone were ok.

I know that I need to check what I take for my own health, but I did not on this occasion, point out to pharmacist that I have a thyroid disorder.It is well chronicled that Oxymetaline Hydrochloride can worsen hypertension and thyroid malfunction and a specific warning should be included in instructions, to use the product with caution.

Frequency: 4 days twice a day and then 3 odd occasions

Diagnosis: I actually purchased it as an anti septic for my cat. It was recommended by the pharmacist. My bp went up after the first application and I continued using it, because I did not make the connection.
