Diovan Side Effects Report #SELF-2719
Male patient reported the following Diovan side effect(s):Three separate symptoms: 1. Urinary Track Infection (blood in urine) 2. Decreased body defense resulting in sever cough and rib pain 3. Blue nails
My physician switched my high blood pressure medication from Lisinopril to Diovan. I was taking Lisonopril for about two years without any side effects. First month at 260 mg resulted in very low BP. Side effects were the Blue Nails and cold hands. Prior to this even in freezing tempratures, my hands were always warm. In the second month or so, for the first time in life, I developed Urinary Tract Infection with painful symptoms of blood in urine and had to rush to the emergency. My physcian changed the Diovan dosage to 160 mg and though my BP was under control, side effects persisted. Again my Physcian changed the dosage to 80 mg and by this time I could notice remarkable change in my body defense system with frequent cold and cough and sever rib pain. By fourth month, a CT scan of the pelvis (done to check the underlying cause of rib pain) revealed RENAL CYST.
