Lipitor Side Effects Report #SELF-3008
Female patient reported the following Lipitor side effect(s):Pain in legs and feet, can\'t stand, sit stand or sleep. Constant throbbing in muscles. Areas of skin that is warm and red. Cannot stand anything to touch skin. Piercing pain when standing or walking. Can\'t sleep because of constant throbbing pain. Hurts so much I scream and cry. I feel like I am dying and I welcome the thoughts as there will be relief from the pain. Pain meds or pain patches have no effect on the pain.
When pain first started after a few weeks I told Doctor and he dissmissed Lipitor as the cause as it was unlikely as he had been told. Continued taking it until it was unbearable and then got on Pfizer website for Lipitor and they said to stop medication if I had these side effect and get a hold my Doctor. I did this but can\'t get to see my Doctor for a week unless there is a cancellation. Now throbbing pain is gone but when I stand or walk piercing stabbing pain in muscles as they move.

Other medications: Enalapril, atenolol, hydrocodoine 510/500 Mg, clonidine 01 MG, lorazepam 1 MG, lunesta 2Mg, pre-natal vitamin.
Diagnosis: High cholestrol
Pre-existing conditions: allergies to dust and mold, hypertention, bulging disc in back, smoke 1/2-1 pack a day, and have no alcohol consumption in over 25 years. Also morbid obesity due to medications and inactivity.
