Prednisolone Side Effects Report #SELF-3088

Female patient reported the following Prednisolone side effect(s):extreme anxiety and tightness of chest, muscle weakness, involuntary spasms in fingers, hair loss, raised white cells and lymphocytes, pulminary hypertension, moon face, 28 pound weight gain over 2 months, red face and neck.



Event date: Saturday March 21st 12:00:00 AM
Dosage: 40mg reducing 5mg per week. total course 8 weeks.
Frequency: daily
Age: 36
Weight: 67
Other medications: omaprozole 20 mg daily
Diagnosis: crohn\'s disease
Pre-existing conditions: smoker approx 20 per day, alcohol approx 1 to 2 times per monthly.

Life-threatening? No
Disabled? No
Birth Defects? No
Was intervention required to prevent damage? No
Other serious medical events? Yes still having investigations to see if I now how leukemia or lymphoma or have I just had an adverse reaction towards steriods, had ecg to see if any lasting damage to lung sue to possible pulminary hypertension ongoing.
