Protonix Side Effects Report #SELF-3249
Female patient reported the following Protonix side effect(s):Heart racing, fullness/tight chest, nausea, burning stomach, gurgling, dizziness, breathlessness
Started taking protonix 3 days ago. Within one hour of the first pill, I noticed extreme stomach gurgling followed by burning in my stomach every time I ate anything...nausea followed soon thereafter. No heartburn anymore though! Then I noticed that I felt a lot of chest congestion and tightness which I originally just attributed to extreme hunger until I realized eating did not alleviate the symptoms. I also felt like my heart was racing as if I was extremely nervous or had just finished a long workout. I know it MUST be the protonix because i am not on anything else, Rx or OTC.
