Abreva Side Effects Report #SELF-4048

Female patient reported the following Abreva side effect(s):I applied Abreva to my cold sore on my lip.It immediately started burning and it caused a hard scab over the next couple of days. It was almost like a chemical burn. It just went away this week and now I have a scar from it. It was almost like it was eating the new skin cells and would not allow it to heal. I have never had a cold sore for more than 10 days. This lasted 3 plus weeks.

I applied Abreva to my cold sore on my lip.It immediately started burning and it caused a hard scab over the next couple of days. It was almost like a chemical burn.
