Neosporin Side Effects Report #SELF-4890
Male patient reported the following Neosporin side effect(s):It felt like I was biten by something on the lower part of my leg. I let it go for a day but it started to form into a larger sore spot. The third day I began applying neosporin ointment twice a day to the wound. The wound became more intense each day I used neosporin. It grew in size, itching, bright red, very tender and an extreme amount of swelling in my ankle. I am 60 years old and diabetic so I thought have a doctor take a look at it. He felt I had an adverse reaction to the neosporin ointment. He prescribed antibiotics and asked me to check back in with him in 2-3 days. He also advised me to elevate my leg as often as I could.
Applied neosporin to anare on my lower leg which was biten by some type of insect while in the shower. The intensity of this site became progressively worse after the use of neopsporin. The area started to scab, itch, grow in size, burn, turned bright red and extreme swelling. I went to see a doctor.
