Implanon Side Effects Report #SELF-7184

Female patient reported the following Implanon side effect(s):I've had implanon since June of 2010. At first it was fine. I had no pain in my arm, no irritation at the injection site, but around my birthday in July is when I started having symptoms. I gained weight, my hair came out in clumps when I brushed it, and I didn't have a period. That wasn't so bad. Now that I have one (I just got it in Novemeber) it hasn't stopped. It's on and off and I'm never hungry. I break out with acne all over my back face and chest. It's embarassing and it's never happened before I got on Implanon. I've suffered from extreme nausea, and for a while I thought I was pregnant. I wasn't. I bloated constantly, and even though I ate regularly (even if I didn't want to) I would get dizzy, and I've passed out several times. Lately I've been having a horrible pain in my kidney which I've had 3 ultrasounds and blood drawn mulitiple times for. My urine has been sent out for cultures and overall all the ER doctor's I've seen, as well as 2 primary care doctors I've seen have said nothing was wrong. I have no infections and no kidney stones. I don't know how to handle the feeling I have as if my hipbones are on fire right now, or the abnoxious smell and discharge I've had. I'm getting rid of Implanon as soon as I can. I do not reccomend this to anyone.
