Female patient , 58 years of age, was vaccinated with MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) on Aug 01, 2007. one week after administration she developed joint pain and swollen glands and low grade fevers.. none. none aware of. Patient recovered.MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) problem was reported from CO on Aug 01, 2007. Female patient , 31 years of age, was vaccinated with MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) on Aug 01, 2007. "7/14/07 awakened with severe abdominal cramping, nausea,diarrhea, general body aches, headache, rapid heart rate. Went to Urgent Care and was ""dismissed as having a virus"". Later in the evening with the symptoms ""getting worse"" went to ER and was again dismissed as ""having flu"". 7/17/07 headache and neck pain increased and she felt ""like my heart was going to pound our of her chest"" went to her family physician practice(Family Medicine). She was seen by 3 different physicians over the next several days. Had mosquito bites. One doctor told she ""probably had viral meningitis"" since it was a possible reaction from MMR.Referred to cardiologist due heart rate(117 bpm) & arrythmias. Started wearing a heart monitor 7/31/07 to continue for 30 days with daily multiple electronic monitoring by MD. Lost 14 pounds since onset of syx. Given Atavan .5mg (1-2 tabs TID)for anxiety started in the last week. Symptoms improving since then, heart rate still at 117. Beginning to eat, continued diarrhea. Took Imodium AD twice, diarrhea abatted,then recurred. No local reaction at inject site. Cold syx started 8 days into ""reaction"" , temp highest 99 degrees F.". None. "Atavan 0.5 mg, 1-2 tablets TID, ordered after 7/17/07 due to syx reported here.". Patient recovered.

She states she was a little sore on 08/03/2007, but on the morning of 08/04/2007 pain was worse and has gotten progressively worse since then. SHe has be taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen but the pain has not gone away. Pt states she can barely walk and when she stands up there is pain and cramping in her lower extremities. She says the pain is causing her to have chills and SOB. She said the pain was worse in the right leg in the beginning but pain is now bad in both legs.". . . Patient recovered.

MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) problem was reported from on Aug 17, 2007. Female patient , 34 years of age, was vaccinated with MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) on Aug 16, 2007. "Information has been received through the Merck pregnancy registry from a registered nurse concerning a 34-year-old female with no pertinent medical history and no drug reactions/allergies who on 30-AUG-2006 was vaccinated SC in the left arm with a 0.5mL dose of Varivax (Lot # 652664/1033R). Concomitant therapy that day included a dose of MMR. There was no other concomitant medication. It was noted the patient was confirmed to be pregnant through a pregnancy test. LMP=30-AUG-2006. No symptoms were reported. Unspecified medical attention was sought. There was no product quality complaint. No further information was available. Follow up information indicated that on 10-MAY-2007 the patient gave birth to a 7 pound 10 ounce male. The baby was born 2 weeks early. The baby was born without a rectum. The baby then had hyposodiumia secondary to surgery so he was in the ICU for 1 week. Slight hydrocephaly was noted, along with auto temp regulation problems. During pregnancy, it was noted that the mother had high stress. She is a single mom G4P3 prior to delivery. She was in school and worked. Infidelity with husband was noted. Reviewed common mild reactions w/mom soreness/swelling at injxn site, fever, rash, reviewed what to watch for for moderate, severe rxn. Advised add 4 T baking soda to bath tonight. Child seen right after immunization series for a rash that presented 11 days after MMR vacc. Rash began on face and has traveled to trunk and UE/LE. Child does scratch. No fever. No decrease in appetite. No difficulty breathing. Twin brother with same vaccine with same problems. Rash began 24 hours after day at park where child had sunscreen on and exposed to water at theme park. Mom has given 3 doses of Benadryl with resolution of sx.. None. None. Patient recovered.

"Information has been received from a registered nurse concerning a 5 year old male with reactive airway disease (since December 2002), history of premature birth and no allergies who in January 2003, was vaccinated IM with a first 0.5 ml dose of MMR II and on 25-AUG-2007 was vaccinated IM with second 0.5 ml dose of MMR II (Lot# 656527/0285U). Concomitant therapy included albuterol as needed. On 25-AUG-2007, soon after vaccination the patient experienced hives on face, wheezing, dyspnea, chest tightness, swollen eyelids and erythema on face, hands and back. It was reported that the patient was immediately treated with Benadryl IM, Decadron IM, epinephrine IM and nebulizer treatment. The patient was also given prednisone and albuterol as needed. On 25-AUG-2007, after soon vaccination the patient experienced hives on face, wheezing, dyspnea, chest tightness, swollen eyelids and erythema on face, hands and back. It was reported that the patient was immediately treated with Benadryl IM, Decadron IM, epinephrine IM and nebulizer treatment. The patient was also given prednisone and albuterol inhaler. Flovent was later added as needed. It was reported that the patient did not experience any adverse event with first dose of the vaccination. No diagnostic laboratory test was undertaken. At the time of report the patient had recovered. A product quality complaint was not involved. The patient's experiences were considered to be life threatening and an other important medical event by the reporter. A lot check has been initiated. MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) problem was reported from CA on Sept 11, 2007. Female patient , 23 years of age, was vaccinated with MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) on Sept 10, 2007. "Information has been received from a registered nurse concerning a 23-year-old female with no known drug allergies, who on 14-DEC-2006 was vaccinated with a subcutaneous dose of MMR II. There was no concomitant medication. A pregnancy test revealed the patient was 2 weeks pregnant (LMP= 29-NOV-2007, EDD=05-SEP-2007) at the time of vaccination. The patient sought unspecified medical attention. No other information was provided. Follow up information received indicated that there were no diagnostic tests, infections or illnesses during the pregnancy, and that no prescription drugs were taken. On 24-Aug-2007, at 39 weeks of pregnancy, a live, normal, female infant was born that weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces. There were no complications during the pregnancy, labor or delivery. However, it was also reported that the baby had unspecified congenital anomalies. The congenital anomalies were the only known complications for the infant. Diagnosed and treated by doctor.. . . Patient recovered.
MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) problem was reported from OK on Sept 13, 2007. Female patient , 18 years of age, was vaccinated with MEASLES + MUMPS + RUBELLA (MMR II) on Sept 13, 2007. "was given MMR 0.5 ml SQ in right upper arm. Afterward, RN explained the possibility of running a low grade temp from the live virus vaccine. Then employee said she felt light-headed. RN grabbed employee's left arm as she dropped to the floor. Employee's pupils were fully dilated and her head bent and left leg jerked up and down. All this lasted approx. 30 seconds. She was incontinent. Eyes were fixed looking straight ahead midline.". None. None. Patient recovered.
